Wifi, TVs & Stereo

Wifi connectivity @ Kunda

  • Internet access is provided by Optus 4G Wireless Broadband
  • The Optus modem is positioned in the upstairs back bedroom (closest to the road) which gives the best broadband performance.
  • There is a wireless repeater (TP-Link Wifi Extender) at the bottom of the stairs that gives decent coverage for all of the downstairs spaces.
  • The best Wifi Signal to connect to is called "OPTUS-4G-B525-F57E_EXT" the Wifi Key is posted on a sticker on the fridge.
  • For the fastest access, take your laptop to the upstairs back bedroom and connect to the 5G Wifi SSID [network name] called "OPTUS-4G-B525-5G-F57E" the key is the same for all Wifi SSIDs [on the fridge].

TVs

There are two TVs in the house, both support HDMI inputs, and we recommend that you bring your own streaming device if you wish to stream TV shows or movies.  You can connect it to the Wifi network as described above and you will be good to go.

Both TVs also have ABC TV (Broadcast) Channels -- the main TV in the lounge room has a good signal for most of the broadcast channels, whereas the TV in the back bedroom is only viewable for the ABC channels.

TV Tips

  1. Turn on the TV and receiver power by clicking the [GREEN] #1 button on the “Bauhn” remote power controller (see image at right).Wireless remote power switch
PLEASE turn the power OFF with the same #1 switch [RED] once you are finished with the TV/Stereo…
  2. The sofa light is also controlled by the Bauhn Switch #4
  3. Turn on the TV (top left RED button on “TV Remote 1” shown below)
  4. If Digital [Broadcast] TV is not playing, click the “Input” button above right of the click wheel and scroll to the “DTV” option.  This will select digital broadcast TV (from the outside antenna)  Note there is an “Electronic Program Guide” built into the TV – click the button marked “EPG” on the TV remote (below LEFT of the click wheel) to see what channels are available & what is currently playing.
